Guys as we seem to keep missing each other, please just go to town (any town) open Guild menu and apply for TLC

I'm not getting how the ingame communication works. And, I've no idea where in the world Midda is.
Just moved out of the training area yesterday, and tried to find a town.
Not sure if i'm in a town or not, but did go through a gate that said "outside" and then back again, so i assume i'm "inside", but looks like theres a lot of vegetation inside (and some sky spirt things that my current quest is to kill).
I did find TLC in the guild lists, and tried to "whisper" to you, but couldn't find a send message button. Not worked out how to use the chat channels either.
I might pop on later today, but if i do it will be for only half an hour or so. Wont be around again till Friday.
I worked out how to arm one of my merceneries with a sword, and how to heal them with a potion, but got a long way to go in getting to grips with this game. Basicly, I'm lost, and will keep using the auto quest move thing till i get more of an idea as to how it works.

It's quite confusing isn't it?
I too eventually managed to arm a weapon, but still haven't mastered using potions. The instructions are scant at best.

I an assist with what you have indicated if we all can get on for an hour to do a quick high intensity tutorial. Thursday evening for an hour is possible otherwise the weekend. Ailbe and Richie are coming round for a christmas boys night friday so I may/may not be able to get them to bear with me for an hour whilst we do a session, they may even be interested. After that its Sat or Sun during the day, which for some I know isn't ideal.
I have to say this game gets better with every play, I have seen nothing in the new breed of modern MMO's with a fraction of its depth. In many ways it reminds me of games like SWG - you get the same superb sense of bewilderment and joy for weeks as you discover new depth and content at every turn. Games like Horizons and Eve did the same to me.
I really am amazed and am seriously thinking of ditching WAR which now seems so shallow in comparrison.
Crafting is a joy in Atlantica Jake, if somewhat challenging at first.
Remember I'm on Macedon - use the Community scroll on the right hand side to manage your communications - create friends, etc.

I could be on for an hour on Thursday evening. Not sure what time i'll be getting home, but expect it would be either 22:00 or 23:00 that I got online, but if i'm lucky would be earlier.
Depends on how the traffic is between Southampton and Chesterfield.
If not, I could also be on Saturday morning, though I may be a bit grogged up.

Well i now know why we couldn't find each other before. I had joined the other bloody server that starts with an M.
Anyway, i now have a khargash on Macedon. Steevodeevo isn't on though.
I'm gonna go on for another 30 mins or so then gonna play something else (i think i need some guidance to be able to play this - potions still don't work for me).
So maybe give me a shout, or else if i've gone MSN me, or even Email, i will check now and then.

I did get on the other day, but not when i said i would, and neither of you were on.
I made it up a couple of levels though, and started to get more of a feel for how it worked, with the help of another player.
I've found out how to change formation, which i asked about after having my hero kicked to death twice by Bamby, in fact, i really don't like the way that those soft looking deer wiped the floor with me and my mercs. Also, thanks to the deer, i found out what happens when you die, and that i could resurrect my killed mercs.
I've also opened a bank account in a town, and sold a spear and a shield.
Now i just need to work out why it wont let me cast my silence spell again. I cast it the first time i played, but now it always says "you cant do that this turn".

How you getting on folks? my enthusiasm in this game continues to increase exponentially as I discover yet more depth daily. Future patches (starting with the first and massive content patch of China and N America, plus player titles that give mystical hidden powers...and amazingly creative future speculations on content make me think I may have struck gold here.
As such I am really anxious for you guys to get into it and enjoy it with me, but am concious that the first 20 or so levels (at least) are massively daunting. I hope yu can get in enouht to see what it has to offer and to get over the tough start up phase.
Again, let me know your availability and I will try and get on and take you through stuff.
Sorry I couldn't stay longer Friday Jake, but the natives were getting restless.
We ended up having a retro nioght with Hasbbro's Risk II and Links 2003!

I have to say i'm not that impressed yet, but i'll stick with it seeing as it's free and you rate it so highly.
Perhaps when i get a few more levels i'll discover new depths.

If yer tired/unimpressed with Atlantica yer tired of MMO life read on: Science and technology website Brighthub also reviews video games, and it has weighed in on Atlantica Online. The reviewer, Philosophical Gamer, calls Atlantica the "innovative MMORPG we've been waiting for," as it breaks from the World of Warcraft mold.
He writes, "NDOORS has stepped up to the plate and delivered us a MMORPG with truly fresh gameplay. It feels nothing like the standard MMORPG, with it's unique version of Japanese-RPG style combat taking the in-game experience to new levels of strategic depth ." The reviewer also gives Atlantica perfect scores of five out of five for all four categories evaulated: Combat, Value, Community, and Connectivity.

Well, if you don't like it or don't 'get it' maybe you have grown out off or become jaded about MMO's in general? because this game is a no brainer must play and doesn't cost a penny. Listen to the comment below and further review from a 5/5 review from 'Brighthub' a well known technology website: People oftentimes associate free MMORPGs, especially free Korean MMORPGs, with poor quality game design. Atlantica Online totally blows the top off of this old boxed-in way of thinking, as it is better than the majority of pay-to-play MMORPGs, even games like Lord of the Rings Online, Everquest 2, or World of Warcraft.www.brighthub.com/video-games/mmo/reviews/18164.aspx
