I was just curious but has there been any word from the Devs if PotBS would have a Halloween event with items? I remember they did in beta (I saw it, was kind of neat) but I haven't seen anything mentioned yet...

And our English friends are saying Halloween? What the. . .?
"At one time, English children made "punkies" out of large beetroots, upon which they carved a design of their choice. Then, they would carry their "punkies" through the streets while singing the "Punkie Night Song" as they knocked on doors and asked for money. In some rural areas, turnip lanterns were placed on gateposts to protect homes from the spirits who roamed on Halloween night. Another custom was to toss objects such as stones, vegetables and nuts into a bonfire to frighten away the spirits. These symbolic sacrifices were also employed as fortune-telling tools. If a pebble thrown into the flames at night was no longer visible in the morning, then it was believed that the person who tossed the pebble would not survive another year. If nuts tossed into the blaze by young lovers then exploded, it signified a quarrelsome marriage. For the most part however, the English ceased celebrating Halloween with the spread of Martin Luther's Protestant Reformation. Since followers of the new religion did not believe in Saints, they saw no reason to celebrate the Eve of All Saints' Day. However, in recent years, the American "trick or treating" custom, together with the donning of costumes for going door-to-door, has become a relatively popular pasttime among English children at Halloween, although many of the adults (particularly the older generations) have little idea as to why they are being asked for sweets and are usually ill-prepared to accommodate their small and hopeful callers."
And you know what that means? Trick! Funny that this holiday originated in Ireland but made stronger inroads in the colonies rather than regionally.

Well I guess if you walked into a British port with your costume, and candy bag, and toilet paper then everyone would hustle into their houses and shut their doors and shutter their windows.
The French would shun your Halloween for being un-French.
The Spanish would say you are too early and that El Dia de los Muertos is not until November 2nd.
So maybe not.

Well when i went Trick or Treating on the local American airbase as a kid it was pretty crazy - everyone had dustbins full of sweets that they would dish out if you knocked. I left with a full pillow case.
Lately though here the kids have lost a bit of the romance. They seem to only want money or cigarettes. Last year I gave a group of kids a whole layer of Guylian pralines (it was the only sweet-type thing i had in the house) and they were ungrateful! This year i will remain true to cultural stereotype and not answer the door.

Blue,
I've not found anything Haloween related in game, and no word on the forums about it either.
There is still the 'Talk Like a Pirate' day special missions, which on compleation givce you a coulerd parrot.
There are also supposedly daily missions, but i've not tried any of theses yet.

Here is an excellent Halloween event - unfortunately not for POTBS. My wife called me last night and said she was innocently doing a daily quest when she was infected by a zombie plague and spent the better part of two hours roaming the landscape and devouring braaaaaiiins! And not without a certain amount of glee I am told. kotaku.com/5067574/world-of-warcraft-plagued-by-zombies

Too bad there's nothing going on. I remember in beta the docks were decorated with pumpkins and NPCs had jack-o-lanterns on their head.
