Popped into game friday night for an hour os ro in my MC Stral killed a few level 40+ npc's for fun, enjoyed it, logged as alone.
Noticed how eerily quiet Roberts was. No chat in National, little red circle activity.

Yes i've noticed this when i've logged in. The only chat i saw was from gold spammers. How long until they cut it back to one server only, i wonder?

Supposadly the new marketing campaign started yesterday. There were a fair number of pirates and brits hanging around MT last night. Queing up to take part in 6vs 6 batttles.
At the same time the brits were able to build up unrest one other pirate port and two spanish ones. I investigated one red bubble to find 5 brits and no other nation there.
I also spotted 2 spanish players and 3 French players in the 3 hours I was on.
Basicly empty though.

Admittedly, haven't logged in too much lately. But when I logged on on Saturday (or maybe it was Friday, I can't remember) there was no one on. No chat (not even gold spammers), no PvP to mention, no one sailing the waters, and I found only one person running around Tortuga. I hate to say it, but I think this game is pretty much as dead as I game can be. It's SWG dead. It's a shame, too... My subscription runs out today. I can't afford it even if I wanted to continue playing. But if the Devs ever decide to actually do something with this game, I may come back. At this point, though, it seems like the Devs really don't know what to do with the game. But now I don't have any MMOs to play, besides a few free ones...

Shame Blue.
Been on for an hour or so, and there's a bit of life today (UK peak time I guess).
Even added an extra name to the society. Am standing in Marsh harbour and will see if any other new players whis hto give the Loose Cannons a try.
Not up to the numbers there were back in April, when i started, but defiantly more than i'd seen for a month.

I really, really wish I could find a reason to continue playing... I love the society and the game was enjoyable. But there was simply nothing left in it for me... I don't like PvP much so that really put a damper on what all I was able to do. And I completed pretty much all of the quests (besides the elite chain ones), so it's not like I had that to do, either... And crafting alone wasn't enough to keep me paying $15 a month.
I really want to keep playing. I just can't find a good reason to...

Give it a couple of months bluey. Maybe there'll be enough new content that you'll feel like signing up for another month or two.

Yeah, maybe so. Guess I'll just wait and see...
But you know, to be completely honest, I'm not really sure what they could do to make this game better. I can think of a few nice features to have, but to make the game enjoyable over a long period of time-- implementing things that always lets players have something new to do-- I'm not really sure what they could do... I was trying to think of that a couple days ago, and I couldn't think of a thing. The way the Devs set the game up-- the world, the the gameplay and so on-- it's all fairly limiting in what they can do...

We've had about 5 or 6 new players join the society this week. Most of them are at levels below 12, so plenty for them still to do. Two in the high 20s/ early 30s. I'm at 41.
Still not rushing to that level 50, but hope to find things to keep me active after then. I'm more interested in PvP and map contention than you Blue though, so those aspects will keep me entertained I hope. Got a lot of missions I've still not picked up as well, and probably spend most of my time moving Cargo for economy.

If you haven't hit 50 yet than yeah, there's still a lot to do in this game. But there really isn't any end-game content in the game. Unfortunately most MMOs suffer from this, and I've never understood why MMO Devs always think so lowly of end-game content and always wait so long to put it in. I mean c'mon, it's important...!

I agree. Their RvR (realm v Realm) which is what the Contention battles is all about for high level players is not what it should be, and few games have this to be honest. Even doing major dungeons in WoW or LoTRO etc for l33t items is a little pointless as you can't level and therefore open up anything new.
I am hoping that the RvR in Warhammer which provides an eternal battlefield concept through the first 4 tier lands, then the tier 4 provinces culminating in an enormous raid on the endgame tier 4 race capital cities provides perhaps for the first time this content. We'll see and I will let you know.
