I enjoy POTBS.
I like sailing around with a TLC sail (best sail design in my oppinion).
I like having this website to dump random thoughts on, and to read the musings of others, be that on TLC, POTBS, other games or the best way to locate your tent at a festival.
I'd like to see TLC (in POTBS game) become a recognised and feared society, for the brits to flee when they see my crossed cannons, but I realy like the laid back no hassal society we had (and I enjoy playing solo a lot, so not too worried that the society ain't massive).
i would like to have the occasional society mate online to trade with, or help out or be helped with the odd mission though. And I'd love to have a go at some big group PvP.
Generally though i'm happy trading with players of other societies for anything my vast POTB's gold chest can't find on the markets.
I'm not sure that I can convince other new players to join the society when there's only one other on line though.
Also, if I invite 5 new players to join, and they all accepted, then i'd be vastly changing the society dynamics. Not sure i have the right to do that, but how do i know what the other players like, before having them sail with us in the society.
I'm only online for the odd hour or so in a week, and I've only seen Heff (or his Son) on line in the last fortnight.
I know turnwhitt is active, for another 2 weeks, and that Steevodeevo is active. just not when i'm around.
Is anyone else still active?
I've placed a ship in the Cat Island area, and am intending to send out bulk invites to new players next time I see em, in the hope that some will join, and some will like the game the way I do, but I'm not sure this is the best way to recruit, and I'd welcome advice and ideas on what the rest of you who still play think is the way to go with this.
In the end, I'll continue to fly the TLC sail as long as I have access to it, and be a solo player in a society if that is the way it must be, but I'm going to have a go at bringing in new members.
