I did see that! They devoted at least two days of news to it considering her parents gave the maximum allowable donation to the McSame campaign they were affronted when he slagged her in one of his ads. So I feel free to quote her! ;D

Alright - my take of Wrath of the Lich King while the servers are down for weekly maintenance. Firstly - Wrath is beautiful. I have ridden off two cliffs whilst gazing at the scenery. When WoW first started you could play it at 600 by 800 resolution and now I have it cranked to 1920 by 1280 even though 800 by 600 is no longer available this game is able to run on a huge variety of PCs. The landscape and instances are a stunner. And all the little touches from a bird flying off a beast's horn when you engage it in combat to the much tuned up and intuitive user interface make it a joy to play really. The new quests are really trying hard to push away from the kill x amount of y mob which has been the MMO staple. I've ridden on the backs of giants and dragons and put on inumerable disguises on my way to level 80. The new Death Knight class has been well thought out and the first several levels of the Death Knight are DK specific quest that run you through a well designed story and are lots of fun to play. I hear a lot of grumblings about the faults of other MMOs on these forums but many of those issues really have been solved by Blizzard. I must say that one great thing about this game is how much tuning up it has gotten since I have been playing. Blizzard certainly has the money and they are not sitting on their duffs. Of all the MMOs I have played WoW is certainly the most social - the social tool being unmatched by anything out there, at least in my experience. The funny thing is I wasn't at all exposed to the Warcraft universe before I started playing this game 3 years ago but now it is always where I would prefer to be when trying other MMOs. It is an odd thing when one is playing, say, Warhammer, and feeling a little homesick for Azeroth. I think a lot of people will never try this game because it has gotten so popular but that is kind of a shame. Of course it doesn't appeal to everyone but I never question why 11 million people are playing it. Never not at all. www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/pc/worldofwarcraftwrathofthelichking

I have occassionally been tempted as it is probably teh most complete MMo out there but two things have always put me off:
1. the attitude of the high proportion of very young kids on it - in othr MMO's where kids have come to take a peek from WoW their attitudes often suxored.
2. I hate joining a new MMO late. I'm the sad 'special edition pack, one week preplay before full launch' kinda nerd.
