Well, I'm unable to log onto PotBS now. Since the last patch it keeps freezing up at the "Flying Lab Software" plane and wont continue. It wont let me ALT+TAB out or anything so I have to shut off the power to my PC just to get out of it. Nothing I've tried has fixed it, and no one on the PotBS forum knows what's going on. I'm going to send in a ticket next. Problems like this and others are getting really old, so I'll give it a week. If I can't log in a week from now, well, I guess I'll just pull the plug on this game...

I had the same problem rocco. I think the problem is with your anti virus like was with mine. I turned it off when i loaded game and it worked perfectly. I think with new update it thinks its a new game so it blocks it. try it!

I had exact same problem two or thee times after patches. I had to switch my av off and on afew times but eventually it kicks in. It may be best to switch teh av off, chaneg settings so it dosnt kick in on start-up and then reboot and start the game.

I've had the same anti-virus and same settings since PotBS was in beta, and it worked fine even way back than (and I always turn all of my firewalls off while playing PotBS). So it's not that...
Tech support is looking into it, but I never hold much hope for tech support anymore. Not for any company.

A couple of things Rocco.
1) this always happens to me after a change to potbs.exe. It's because my antivirus tags the exe as changed and requires re-allowing. For some inexplicable reason, FLS's load screen doesn't let you alt-tab out to do this, so you have to hard reset. Now i don't know what firewall you use, but if it's a software firewall just go in and check that potbs.exe is fully allowed. If it's a hardware firewall then this is unlikely to be the problem.
2) When i had a crash that i just couldn't get past, i had to completely uninstall, wipe the DIR, re-download the install files, and reinstall to get it working. Never before have i experienced this, so i'm pretty sure FLS have done some pretty shoddy programming in places. If you can't get in and you want to, this will certainly cure your problem. It is ridiculous though.

Yeah, I got it working. Was on quite a bit on Friday and Saturday, though not many people were on except for the newer members.
