Can't say I am happy about Mourinho leaving Chelsea. And now Abramovich is going to take a more 'hands on approach?' Great-googly-moogly, no!
I mean - despite simply buying Chelsea and pouring money into it - there is nothing in Abramovich's portfolio that screams "tactical soccer genius." As Michael Platini said about money - "it comes with motives of its own and no manners."
And English football is a bit poorer for having lost a personality like Mourinho. As much as he could be reviled in the press and hated by many.
The club's future does look a bit wobbly at the moment. Can't just throw money at it. As a blogger said,"it’s like being thrown back into the Middle Ages after lapping up the Renaissance."
All the other clubs have to be laughing their asses off right about now.

This is only good for one person - Shevchenko.
I don't think it spells disaster though. At worst it spells 4th place or so. If we do get Hiddink i think he'll be very good for us. As good as Mourinho, perhaps, but in a different way. Or failing that, bring back Ranieri!

Hopefully the guys are not too thrown off by all this drama. Didier Deschamps has been clawing after this job as well but it seems like he left Juventus for almost the same reasons Jose left Chelsea. I wonder if anyone with a personality could get along with Roman.
Then beginning of next year Drogba and Essien are off to compete in the Africa Cup.
Should be an interesting year at any rate.

Well - they need someone - Chelsea vs. Fulham 0-0. Ouch.
I don't think Boris Karloff is going to cut it much longer. Although 84 minutes and 13 seconds into that game against Hull I think I saw him smile.

Perhaps Boris will attach Drogba's legs to Schevchenko's head and make a 'Special one'
