I am just happy to not be in last place considering I missed the first group of games. This has been a great way to keep track of the World Cup, too bad USA dissapointed so much (1 Stinking point) how embarrassing.

Agreed it is shameful to want ze Germans to win but when they are playing the Argys its the lesser of two evils.. Hopefully we will sink the Portuguese man of war, squash the Samba and then smash 5 passed ze Germans in the final.. And then i'll probably wake up and realise it was all a dream

Blackie, did you ever say which bit of Devon you were from (you probably did!)? I was in 'South Hams' a few weeks ago, close th Bigbury Bay with the missus for a long weekend. What a stunning part of the world. Apart from the occasional chav, places like Salcome are a delight to behold, and the grub and ale down there is awesome.

Make sure you beat the germans and/or the French if you come across them. If you meet Brazil, well it doesn't matter does it? Portugese win anyway

Make sure you beat the germans and/or the French if you come across them. If you meet Brazil, well it doesn't matter does it? Portugese win anyway Pff! That's like saying that if the US win it's a British win.... And yes, i am slightly ashamed to say it, but i want ze Germans to win thw whole world cup. They play good, honest football. This tournament has been so blighted by diving, and the Germans aren't doing that. Who else could we want? Portugal? With that little shit, Ronaldo, who thinks it's OK to try and get his team mate sent off and dives at every opportunity? Italy? Well, OK, but they are a pretty boring team. France? Enough said. Yeah, it's strange wanting Germany to win, but they are the best, most honest, most positive team left in it.

Ahoy! Well, it's not the same but after all they are our "brother country" and I bet that now almost everyone of the 180 milion brasilians are supporting Portugal! If Germany, the home nation, wins...that is very boring! I admit they are playing a staight forward footbal but nothing too brilliant. As for the Italians, I like them, they are from a nice country and cool people, very similar to the portuguese by the way, but they play a very cynical footbal. If every team played like them the stadiums would be empty. :s France played a very good match against Brasil, they started badly but now they are improving a lot. I don't fear them but I have respect for that team... But in the end, I'm not very fond of the arrogant fenchy, so if Portugal looses next match I'll support Itália to win the cup. For now I just say: FORÇA PORTUGAL! Cheers mates!
