I created Deevosteevo, a Bright Wizard - you weren't on when i was on - curiously showed u at lvl 1 still, are u having probs or just unable to find timew to get on (getting from lvl 1 to 2 is a couple of minutes). I will try not to get carried away with Devo and maybe we can level together for a bit?

Hi yeah i immediately levelled my stunty to 5 or 6, so that must have been a false readout.
I've got a couple of problems you may be able to help with:
1) Community seems really badly done. I couldn't find any way to /tell a person, and i couldn't find any friends list.
2) RvR and public quests. Possibly i don't understand them, but i was accepting a multi player quest, right clicking the thingy up in the top right, choosing to "join all" and then waiting. I never got an invite. Am i doing something wrong, or was it just that i was on late sunday night and no-one else was there?
Anyway, i'm on holiday at the moment, and i've booked the night off, so i'll be on until the small hours. Maybe see you then at some point?

Community is OK, it takes a bit of getting used to. I'm sure it will improve.
/tell, /say, /whisper etc all do work. I suspect you may not have your channel filters set up? If you right click on the channel it shows filters.
The Friends interface is there - click on the geezer's head profile pinned to the left corner of your chat window to open a whole new set of commands, community and friends filters.
RvR is in three types: 1. Scenarios (pvp) - these are the instanced RvR scenarios you chose to set up and are just great fun cap the flag or king of the hill missions. If you join one or all and the circular icon glows you are deffinately queued for teh next available instance. It must have been a slow night, but I rarely dont get one within 5 or so minutes or so.
2. Open RvR (pvp) the areas on the map which are red tinged are open field pvp and anyone entering those will be flagged. They can be avoided. These can be the best fun as there are BO's - Battlefield objectives and Keep's to capture. Organised Raid parties go in nightly certainly lots at w/e's and keep capture and defenfing is fantatic fun. You ned to be in a Guild to get the adverts for these opportunities, but just turning up at a Keep under atack (keep has a flame over it) will get you an invite if action is going on.
Both of the above earn bog standard experience to level, but RvR earns you the lovely purple 'Renoun' which can be traded in for renoun gear and renoun avatar buffs at specialist traders around the map.
3. Public Quests (PQ's) these are typically teamplay instances scattered around the map, often half a dozen per map (like BO's but w/o the pvp) where players on the same side cooperate to achieve several stages of the scripted PvE instance. You earn experience but also special blue 'Influence points' which fill up 3 segments as you undertake these PQ's. You trade in this INF for special items at a special trader located at Warcamps
Warcamps - this is where the Fliht masters are located to fly between Realms.
Lots more wisdom to impart! Would be great to catch up with you tonight.
Here are some slash commands:

I am just so unbelievably pissed off with this game now.
I{'m sure you remember i asked you how the hell i get into RvR fights, and the upshot was there weren't many people on when i tried before, so that's why it didn't work.
Well i've tried so many times tonight to get in one, and it just never happens.
Have contacted CS many times now, and no reply.
I click the thing next to the mini map, and click join. All goes away, and i wait. Nothing, for hours on end. I read something about clicking "ready", but i never get that option.
I really am ready to break my CDs and try to hunt down anyone who is actually paid a wage for being a WAR CSR and is probably sitting on their arse laughing at my requests for help

Make sure you are on high population server!

I don't think that's the issue though. I got in a few battles while in Steev's group, and when he left i tried literally five minutes later and nothing. I waited hours. That's why i think there's something wrong.
I've followed the instructions - click on the scenario button, click "join". When i do that the scenario screen disappears. I get no "ready" option.
Anyway i've had a very angry rant at them and am asking for my money back. Worst CS ever.

Turr and I played last night and had no problems getting into RvR. Thing is I never have any problems getting into RvR solo and I'm on the same server so I am bemused. jake told me last night that he was using 'join all' which gets me on in minutes regular as clock work, I didn't have too many problems getting into selected mas before that either. Seems Jake is setting up his queue correctly, so I can't understand why he waqs having these problems. All I can offer tentatively is: - bad timing. Low people on board at the time - Was using join as Group rather than solo (I suspect not, I think Jake is all over this). - Group join is somehow mathematically favoured when the programming sifts through queues to create matches (no evidence to support this but often Groups are favoured to encourage them in MMO's. - Low server pop on T1 maps - combined with lateness of the hour I strongly suspect this one..... ....It occurs to me that the game is in the 'post launch - pre maturity' stage. In other words the early adopters are off and running (beta testers, fanboys etc) and these are all in T3 and T4 now, even many of their alts are! On top of this the game hasn't gone yet into its 'mid launch' marketing phase with box discounts, free expansion, digital download, free trials etc. So its possible right now that all that's in T1 and T2 is a few late early phase adopters (Jake) and a smattering of alts. The good news is that last night was a blast - I really did enjoy it and we just scratched the surface. Shame you aren't here Trench and its quite clear that levelling is weighted for slow down at higher levels and level 1 to 10 is a cocaine fix to get you hooked. You start to grind from around 15 or so upwards, so people start rapidly to catch each other up. I have been T3 for ages.

Best . . .result. . .ever - last night; ;D I am sorry I can't join you guys on WAR as well. (I have got one character to 20 doing quest and another character to 20 doing only public quest for renown gear and RVR and I must say the latter character is better geared at this point). However, there is still Empire: Total War to come and THQ is coming out with a third expansion to their Company of Heroes series - so maybe we can have some RTS nights in the future. If anyone is tempted by WOTLK I am (and have been for three years now) on the North American WoW server, Burning Blade, Horde side. Knowing some folks rather dour opinion of FPS games I am still very much in love with Team Fortress 2 and will most certainly be playing Left 4 Dead when it comes out as Valve has never failed me. www.gamespot.com/pc/action/left4dead/video/6200402/left-4-dead-official-movie-1?hd=1I would like to remind everyone that The Loose Cannons do have a Steam page as well and my Steam ID is Trencher.

You know Scenartio's may well be bugged. I have queued for a week in T1 using 'all maps' option and over 20 times straight I have been offered Nordland, not once anything else. When I queue for a specific map I wait and wait..I have reported it.
