Steevo stood on the seat of the tiny skiff trying to keep his ballance while ducking fish, rolling barrels and a crew of grog soaked pirates, out of teh corner of his eye he saw too very crurvy lookin characters rowing like the great white whale itself was after them, rowing towards the skiff, waving and shouting at the top of their voices. " Who might these salty dogs be then? he mumbled to himself.

As Altredis and Blackhead began to catch up with the rest of this motley crew, Altredis began to laugh at the pure absurdity he beheld.
"The grog juggling Turwhitt and CptDark was something one would think existed only in a circus!" His voice rang out across the water as he saw Steevo glaring at him. His proper speech gave away his noble bloodline as the well dressed pirate pulled two small flasks from his coat, throwing one to Steevo and taking the other for himself. "Fine rum for a newfound ally!" Upon saying that Altredis hurriedly drank down the rum and grabbed the line that was cast from the skiff.

As the skiff settled down, low in the calm bay, Steevo watched Altredis skip lightly aboard, minding his fancy coattails from the rusty nails as Backhead steadied the dingy. Sipping at the very fine rum he nodded towards altredis, and ducked as the boom from the single mast swung wildly across the boat as darky hauled up the single main fore-ast sail.
"Of we go then"! shouted someone from behind a large barrell

Steevo woke first, his head hammering like it had been hit by a 10lb cannonball. he lifted his nose from the sea water sloshing in the scuppers, with great difficulty, and saw the entire crew sprawled and snoring amidst the empty barrels. Turwhitt hung over the side with his arms in the water, fish nibbbling his fingers, sound asleep or out cold more like.
The skiff drifted gently and silently in the evening mist and Steevo realised what had woken him, in addition to the small crab up his nostril, he heard the bell again. Straining his neck to squint with red rimmed eyes over the gunwalls he noticed lighs in the middle distance shimmering in the misty air and on the dark blue water. It was a port and their skiff was drifting towards it.
Sitting in the middle fo the harbour, not half a league from their small craft and gettting steadily closer was a 44 gun frigate at rest at anchor with just the swell occassionaly tinkling the ships bell. It was to dark to see her colours.

Post by Bonnet on Jul 14, 2006 23:26:06 GMT
Bonnet took a deep breath at the site of the sparkling waters of the sea, from the harbor. Wasting no more time, Bonnet looks around for seaworthy vessel in which to "borrow", as he has no money, yet. A quick look around and he could already see the number of people tending to their ships.
Though the ships was not the finest among the boats at the dock, one would have to do. but he needed money. Bonnet swung around and stepped into the tavern door. After a few glances from some mates, bonnet side-stepped them and made his way on to the bartender.
Abruptly, a man gasped. Bonnet turned around as he was expecting something from the man. "It's gone! Me coin-sack is gone! Someone here is a pickpocket!" A young man stepped in at that point, pointed his stubby finger at bonnet. The tavern turned around. Bonnet had been caught in the act, but as with most things, denied it.
"I saw 'm! It was him!" The man with the stubby finger exclamed. Bonnet rose, and almost in synchronization, the tavern rose as well. "What's all this than i didn't.." Bonnet tried to spit out, but it was no use. The people in the tavern loomed closer and closer to bonnet.
Thinking quickly, bonnet elbowed a wall mounted torch holder and snatched the alchohol out of the hands of the drunk sitting next to him. As the tavern started to move closer to him, bonnet took the alchohol in his mouth and blew onto the torch. The tavern moved back clear of the fire, and bonnet threw the torch onto the ground and flew into the docks, where he jumped onto the nearest skiff he could find.

Meanwhile, the skiff full of slumbering pirates drifted, and drifted closer to the Frigate. Steevo, his eyes now aclimatised to the night saw that its flag was French.

All of a sudden Cpt Dark let out an almighty fart with such force that it propelled the wobbly skiff into the stern of the darkened frigate.. Blackhead awoke sharply and grabbed at a rope that was conveniently dangling from an open window of the captains quarters and furiously started climbing in a desperate attempt to get away from the foul smelling Cpt Dark.

A stranger enters the inn, a sailor of the seven seas for sure, but very drunk, he loooks like he hadnt had a shave for a while, also his clothes look abit ragged. In his left hand he carries a halffull bottle of rhum and his righthand holds a smoking doublebarrel pistol. He looks around and walks over to the corner table.
Arr sailors, you look like you could use abit of rhum, i managed to keel a small spanish vessel of shore, was loaded with rhum and harharr best part..i brought it all here. harr..anyone have some of that fine tobacco from port royale? ill trade some for this fine rhum.

The tavern remained still and tense as they eyed the stranger and recovered from Bonnets departure on the Skiff to - who knows where? ......
....meanwhile Blachhead and Steevo managed to scramble up the anchor rope. All others in the skiff have passed out - including Darkie from teh foul stench, reminiscent of a long dead dead whale who had eaten a dozen long dead giant squid.
The deck of the ship was eerily quiet, except for a strange squeaking noise. The two pirates head towards the squeak at the stern of the Spanish ship looking around furtively.
